Writers and illustrators ages 18-24 may register. Individuals who identify with groups or identities undrerepresented in the field of children's picture books are especially encouraged to attend.
After you register, apply for one of 24 spots for a portfolio or manuscript review with Pat Cummings, Laurent Linn, or Donna Mark, and a chance to have you work selected for an exhibition at Central Library. Are there age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, you must be ages 18-24 to register for Storymakers. If you are outside this age range, you are welcome to attend the Afternoon Publisher's Panel and mingling session from 2-4pm. RSVP here: bklynlib.org/storymakers2019_publisherspanel
I came to the event last year. Can I come again this year?
In the effort to share this opportunity widely, priority will be given to new attendees. Please complete the registration, and you will be added to the wait list and contacted if a space is available. You will also recieve an invitation to the Afternoon Publisher's Panel and mingling session from 2-4pm.
