Beginning in January of 2022 when Lipman and Christopher started arranging Lipman’s songs for a full band, soon the songwriters were joined by Rico and Letizia. Playing their first show in August of that year, the band soon released their six song EP San Souci.Touting a power-emo sound that is anthemic, dynamic, and raw, Cape Crush’s songs come to life after Lipman crafts the song structures on acoustic guitar. Guitarist Christopher then arranges each track, layering in electric guitar harmonies and rhythms. Finally, Letizia and Rico bring their own bass and drum parts to the table. Blending high octane choruses with introspective moments, Cape Crush proudly boasts a DIY aesthetic and bursts with rich harmony, layered instrumentation, and inwardly focused lyricism.They have been featured across well-known music publications, such as Guitar World, Tower Records, Vanyaland and New Noise Magazine. Some career highs include playing The Fest 22 and 23, playing Pouzza Fest 13, and sharing the stage with Samiam, Prawn, and Piebald.
