A graduate of the Fordham University Alvin Ailey BFA program, she has performed on stage and screen while also dedicating her talents to teaching children and families in schools, cultural programs, and community outreach projects. Her work with organizations such as Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy, NIA Community Outreach, and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum reflects her passion for making the arts and wellness accessible to all. In addition to her dance career, Carmen is a certified yoga and fitness instructor, specializing in Kemetic Yoga, Prenatal Pilates, group dance fitness, and Kukuwa African Dance. She has led programs for colleges, community groups, and family wellness events nationwide, blending movement with mindfulness to support whole-person health. As the founder of Crown Soul Yoga, she creates workshops that empower both kids and adults to find balance, joy, and strength.
