Powell will share the stage with distinguished playwright and activist V (formerly Eve Ensler), author of the celebrated The Vagina Monologues, for a public conversation about art, community, and activism.Their conversation will delve into the themes explored throughout the residency, including developing creative expression, how creative practitioners can respond to the issues shaping public life, and how they can contribute to the communities around them.The evening will include poetry by Kevin Powell and presentations by select Pratt students who developed creative work through the residency’s four-part workshop.About Kevin Powell: Kevin Powell is a Grammy-nominated poet, Webby Award-winning Newsweek journalist, filmmaker, and the author of 17 books, including his newest poetry collection, A Poem for Evangeline, And Other Songs.
