pineapple NY presents: comfort in an instant
When we’re last-minute googling around for a simple-but-satisfying weeknight recipe — preferably with anchovies — Melissa Clark is always there to hand us just what we’re looking for. Through her NYTimes Cooking column, “A Good Appetite,” as well as dozens of cookbooks, her recipes have become sources of comfort to pineapple womxn everywhere.
But … how does she do it? And how can we cook like Clark?!
In a fireside chat led by famed food writer Kate Krader, presented by Squarespace*, our partner and all-in-one website-building platform, we’ll hear all about Melissa’s upcoming book, Comfort in an Instant, her recipe-testing technique, and what it’s like to lead the one-and-only NYTimes cooking team. As avid home cooks at pineapple NY, we’ll find out how her detailed creations run the gamut from effortless to project-y, fresh and crunchy to warm and rich, supremely basic to intricately triumphant.
Plus, Melissa will demo one of her favorite Instant Pot recipes from her new book — hitting start at the beginning of the convo so it’s ready by the end!
And of course we’ll have a spread to #pinefor: our fave Italian food from womxn-powered Il Buco Alimentari thanks to Caviar, refreshing Mountain Valley Spring & Sparkling Water, plus tangy cocktails made with BRINS jam.
