Created from fallen trees from the Cemetery’s grounds, the work draws inspiration from Korean tumuli burial mounds and honors cycles of remembrance, decay, and renewal.To mark the opening of the installation and the debut weekend of the historic Green-House, we will begin in the Modern Chapel where Shin will introduce the work, followed by remarks from Gabrielle Gatto, Manager of Public Programs, on Green-Wood’s approach to death education and collective remembrance. Participants will then take part in a community ritual led by Mudang Jenn, a Korean shaman.
