📚 Lecture: “A Brief History of Leadership”
🎤 Speaker: Dr. Jake Tuber
Ever wonder how we transitioned from ancient kings chosen by the gods to CEOs quoting Brené Brown? While leadership may be as old as civilization itself, the study of leadership is relatively young. In this engaging, story-driven talk, Dr. Jake Tuber will guide us through the evolution of leadership thought—from divine right and charisma to motivation, emotional intelligence, and psychological safety.
Along the way, he will unpack what each theory got right, what it got hilariously wrong, and why there’s still no consensus on what makes a great leader.
Dr. Jake Tuber is an organizational psychologist and a top-rated adjunct professor of industrial-organizational psychology at City College. As the Managing Principal of Ticonderoga Advisory, he collaborates with leaders and organizations as an executive coach, talent advisor, and workshop facilitator. He was named one of the “40 Under 40 in Leadership” by the Leadership Center for Excellence.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the fascinating history of leadership with Dr. Jake Tuber!
