Kolot Anti-Racist Focus Group: Multiracial
This year Kolot was awarded a microgrant from UJA's Jewish Life Open Tent Committee to evaluate the effectiveness of our congregation’s anti-racism work. To evaluate our work, we need to hear from you!To understand what is working, and what isn’t we need your input. We will do this through focus groups, interviews and a survey of the congregation. We've hired a team of consultants, Tanya Williams and Bari Katz to lead us through this process.Tanya Williams and Bari Katz are excited to work with Kolot on the congregation’s racial equity work. They are consulting partners who work with schools, non-profits and community organizations across the country doing social justice consulting and facilitation.A note from Tanya and Bari:We have been meeting with the Race Working Group and will be starting our information gathering by hosting several focus groups within the congregation, to listen and learn about people’s' experiences with race within Kolot. Our focus groups are 90-minute sessions. These are spaces where you'll be invited to speak freely, share your personal experiences, and contribute to a larger information-gathering process as part of the racial equity work at Kolot. So many of you have been so supportive of Kolot's anti-racist work over the Years, I hope you will be able to help us continue to strengthen the foundation we've begun to build and will join us in this process.
Food will be provided.
