Visit the memorials of revolutionary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat; civil rights leaders Grace Nail Johnson and James Weldon Johnson; Charles L. Reason, the first Black college professor in the United States; and others whose legacies endure in the ongoing struggle for equality.Offered as part of Green-Wood’s America250 celebration, this tour explores themes that reach beyond the Revolutionary War to examine the broader American experience. Attendees will be checked in by name.Where To Go: Check-in takes place at the trolley by the Gothic Arch near the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street (500 25th Street).Accessibility & Safety: The Green-Wood trolley can accommodate up to two wheelchairs. However, the trolley may make stops where passengers are encouraged to disembark in areas that are not wheelchair accessible.
