I have been making music since I was 12. Growing up in a Haitian-American church, it was not always easy for my faith community to understand my choice of music: hip-hop. I started to rap, what we often call “secular music,” when I was 17. As a pastor’s child, I’d still attend church and play drums every Sunday. While I have never considered myself a singer, I have always embraced my talent for writing. I’d write songs for the youth choir of my dad’s church without necessarily being too involved. But at age 21, I decided to take my talents to the church. Fully. So, I transformed my songwriting talent into faith-based prose so I could do Christian Hip-Hop.
9 years later, I am announcing my first Christian Hip-Hop album, where you will be able to discover a different facet of my talents. In my upcoming album called “Blessed,” I talk about my experiences growing up in church and outside of the church. I rap about how the influences of both worlds have shaped me into the person I am today. I cannot wait for you guys to discover this album.
Special note: As many of you may know, my dad passed away about 2 months ago. It has been a difficult season for my family and the church as we are grieving our pastor’s death. The church is currently under renovation. And they need financial support. That is why 60% of this concert's fund will be donated to the Church of God of Galilee.
I cannot wait to turn up with ya’ll!!!
