Welcome to Disco Jazz Revisited: FW25 Launch Party + Panel! Join us at BARZAKH• CAFÉ on September 27th from 3-5 pm to celebrate the Disco Jazz x SAMAVAI merch collection. We'll kick off the celebration with a panel discussion starting at 3:15pm featuring DJ Rekha, musician Blue Mena, and journalist Yashica Dutt, moderated by writer Vrinda Jagota. After the panel, we'll premier a short film made by director Tanmay Chowdhary featuring the clothing collection.

About Disco Jazz
Rupa Sen’s 1982 album Disco Jazz was initially released to modest acclaim until it spread years later through a strange series of events including YouTube’s recommendation algorithm, the musician Caribou’s NTS sets, and numerous obscure Reddit threads. Disco Jazz has since been reissued on Numero Group and now boasts a cult following among crate diggers and fans of South Asian diasporic music.
About SAMAVAI
SAMAVAI is a slow fashion label of garments and accessories made from vintage Indian saris and heritage South Asian textiles. The brand creates gender-affirming designs inspired by founder Shriya Samavai Wilding's Tamil heritage.
