David G Jenkins is a financial professional with New York Life who specializes in working with young families and entrepreneurs to optimize their insurance dollars so they can maximize their growth dollars. He spent years as a taskrabbit with no background in finance. After a small work injury left him home without work, he learned about personal finance (after putting it off for years) and found it so interesting and easy to communicate to others that he left his tool bag behind and got his insurance and financial licenses to help people like him who had no access to financial literacy when he needed it most. On nights and weekends he performs stand-up comedy as he has since 2016.
