BAC Workshop Series - Mission Driven Grant Writing- Keys to a Winning Proposal (4 hrs)
This workshop will cover the basics of researching grant opportunities, preparing a proposal and letter of inquiry, as well as preparing budgets for Foundation and Corporate grants. It will cover researching opportunities including unsolicited and solicited Foundation and Corporate grants and a detailed step by step on preparing each section of a proposal. Come prepared with a draft proposal and walk away with clear next steps and an action plan!
In addition to writing the proposal, we will teach participants some of the standard terms that are commonly used in grant application such as direct and indirect costs, in-kind donations, general operating costs, and project costs and they align with the narrative. Learn how to develop and review your budgets in the context of your project narratives so they are properly aligned. This introduction to budgeting for proposals is aimed at organizations who may be searching for their first grant or are in the process of receiving one, as well as those organizations that may already be receiving grant funding, but do not have a formal budgeting process in place.
