About the School
P.S. 376 Felisa Rincón de Gautier is a K-5 Title I school located in Bushwick, Brooklyn. P.S. 376 is a collaborative school community dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating 21st-century learning environment with high academic and civic expectations for all students. Using standards-driven instruction to foster 21st-century learning skills of thinking, communicating, reasoning, and investigating, P.S. 376 respects and develops the talents and other unique abilities of all their students.
About the Visit
At this Showcase, visitors will learn about P.S. 376’s collaborative structures that ensure thoughtful planning from design challenges to authentic real-world problems. Visitors will see a comprehensive 21st-century instructional technology program where students engage in project-based learning through the use of educational technology. Daily practices include STEAM integration, coding, MakerSpace creations, robotics, filming, hydroponics, garden-based learning, and drone programming. At the end of the day, visitors will have the opportunity to plan how these practices can be incorporated into their own practice.
