Drawing is a skill anyone can learn - it's simply a matter of developing the required basic skill sets and the desire to draw! Local artist Jonathan Gaetke will break down the drawing process to its most fundamental level as we explore line, shape, values, edges and basic composition allowing you to level up your drawing skills!
If you're new to drawing or feel you may need a back-to-basics fresh start, then this is the class for you. Our focus will be on the process, not the product as we learn the painterly effect of charcoal pencil on newsprint . See you at the easel !
Materials Provided: Newsprint paper pad, charcoal pencil, kneaded eraser- one per student, easel.
Student please bring: Masonite (or similar) drawing board approx. 14" x 17" (provided paper will be clipped to your board and used on the studio's easel), Clips (to attach paper to board), Pencil Sharpener.
