Explore the light, airy style of loose floral watercolor in this two-part introductory workshop. Learn essential techniques including washes, mixing harmonious colors, layering, and expressive brushwork to suggest soft, flowing blooms.

With guided instruction and plenty of creative freedom, you’ll complete two original loose floral pieces while building confidence in your watercolor skills. Come ready to experiment, embrace happy accidents, and let your creativity bloom!

Materials:
To get the most out of this workshop, students are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them. Using your own materials helps you become more familiar with the tools you’ll continue using at home. However, the instructor will have paints, brushes, boards and water containers available for those who need them. Any questions, please feel free to text Diane at (541) 261-5916.

Please Bring (Required):
8–10 sheets of 9x12” 140 lb. watercolor paper (Student-grade is perfectly fine — brands such as Canson XL work well.) 
Tip: You may share a pad with a friend if you prefer. However, if you’d like extra freedom to experiment and practice later, having your own paper is recommended.

If You Have Them, Please Bring (Optional):
Watercolor paints (either hard pans or tubes are ok)
Palette for mixing
Watercolor brushes (round, any size 6-12)
Painting board (to tape paper to)
Painter’s tape or masking tape
(The instructor will have paints, brushes, boards, and water containers available for those who need them.)
