- **Event Description**: R & B legend Dorothy Moore, a four-time Grammy nominee, will be performing a FREE Concert on Sunday, Nov. 2nd, at 3 PM, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church-Brookhaven, MS. Moore, an American blues, gospel, and R&B singer is best known for her 1976 Top 3 Billboard Hot 100 hit, "Misty Blue,” and she will perform a wide selection of tunes from these genres. Her other well-known hits include “Funny How Times Slips Away” and “I Believe You” and she was recently honored with a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail. 

This FREE community concert is being made possible by contributions from Bank of Brookhaven, Brookhaven Tourism Council, Hurst Review, Dr. Shannon Patterson, and Mike Whatley Honda. Seating will be on a first-come basis. All are welcome. 

The church will be accepting donations toward the restoration of FUMC’s historic Moller pipe organ.
