- **Event Description**: Let's walk or I guess "hike" the entire length of Manhattan from North to South. We will meet at the at 0900 at Mon Amour Coffee and Wine in Kingsbridge in The Bronx and walk all the way down to Staten Island ferry. We will make stops for breakfast, lunch, beer or wine and dinner along the way. I haven't planned all of the stops but here is a rough schedule. You can join in and out over the day but it is better if you come for the whole thing. Schedule that I am going to post is a rough one and we might be there earlier or later depending on our walking speed, etc. I will set up a WhatsApp chat the day before with live location if people want to catch up to us by subway or Citi bike. I picked a coffee shop in Kingbridge so I could walk down to Marble Hill and start from the north border of Manhattan. I also couldn't find any nice coffee shop in Marble Hill at the border with The Bronx hence Mon Amour. Fun fact is that the northern end of Manhattan Island is Marble Hill. Technically part of the Bronx now but once upon a time it was part of Manhattan until the Harlem River Canal was built splitting the neighborhood and turning it into an island until the northern end was landfilled and joined with the Bronx. It still remains part of Manhattan even if you have to cross a bridge to get to it now. We will meet at the 1 train station 231st St waiting area at 10am and start our walk? saunter? hike?
