We Start in Accra Ghana with an extended Excursion Component into Togo and Benin Africa.
* While this trip is geared towards Steppers to combine this dance that we love and to experience a cultural excursion it is not exclusive**and in the past 2 years we have had family and friends travel with us and have the same full and rewarding experience.
PACKAGE INCLUDES: Hotel, Ground Transportation to and from airport and to all scheduled activities, Tour and guide Fees, Scheduled activities. Typically complimentary breakfast AND Some Meals.
NOT INCLUDED: Airfare , Visa Fees, Personal expenses, Some Meals, Alcoholic beverages, Tips and Travel Vaccines: (Only one required is Yellow fever or Yellow Fever waiver letter from Medical Provider, See your Provider for any other recommendations.

AGENDA: We are again working with TALKING DRUMS TOURS and have a wonderful Agenda planned which will include (but not limited to For Ghana
-Cultural Sites like WEB Dubois Museum, Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, The Ashanti Kingdom
-Shopping for Fabric and other items at Makola Market, Center for Arts and Culture. (Tailors will visit the hotel for those wishing to have traditional outfits made) Visiting/shopping at the Arts and Crafts Village,
-Reconnecting with our new friends and fellow Dancers at various sites and the Ahwewhe youth Dance Ensemble who embraced the dance the last time we visited and hit the ground running as they continue to practice their Steppin even in our absence and are excited to Step with us.
-Stepper set and possibly some Demonstration in various venues and areas to Advance this wonderful Dance Style .
-Visiting our friends in New Ningo to tour the Ancestral Wall and meet Ex Pats from the US who have settled back home .
-Homecoming Naming Ceremony for All and Meeting/ greeting Chiefs, Queen Mothers and Elders
-Visiting the Slave Dungeons where 0ur ancestors endured great atrocities and enslavement, Experiencing the "Last Bath" signifying the moment before they loaded onto ships to parts unknown.
-Did you ever wonder where some of the best Kente Cloth is made, how the dyes are made and imprinted on the Fabric? How about Wine Making?
-For those that are not Faint of Heart, crossing the various Canopy Bridges at Kakum National Park.
-Visiting Local Beaches
-Downtime.
TOGO/BENIN 10/18/26 (Arrive 10/18/26) TO 10/24/26 (Cultural excursion)
Located also in West Africa, the two countries are a repository of African culture and heritage. We will experience exciting and amazing sites including visiting historical palace, meeting the King of Port Novo, Time with a master craftsman in African art and heritage. We would not only listen to the story of slave trade, but will walk the slave route in Quidah (Benin) to the point of no return. Visit to the Sacred Forest where you learn about the true African Spirituality. Theres a thrilling ride on Lake Nokoue to the city of Ganvie which one may call the Venice of West Africa.

Visas are required for each entry (Ghana, Togo, Benin ) and are typically applied for no sooner than 3 months before departure. Talking Drums Tour Company will walk you through the steps and timelines.
*So if this trip is for you and we hope that it is, you can begin by making sure that you have a valid passport with an expiration date that is over 3 months from dates of travel and you can check into Vaccines with your Medical Provider (Yellow fever is the only mandatory vaccine-Vaccine proof or waiver letter by Medical Provider is acceptable.
