Through observation, walking, making and sharing, participants will explore sustainability, culture, wellbeing and identity while developing confidence in their own creative voice within a welcoming community space.What happens when we slow down and pay attention to the food that connects us to nature, culture and community?This gentle and creative workshop invites participants to explore their relationship with food through observation, conversation, walking and making.Using fruits, vegetables and seeds as starting points, we'll practise "slow looking"—a mindfulness technique that encourages us to experience familiar objects from new perspectives. Together we'll explore how artists, writers and makers have responded to food, nature and sustainability before creating our own personal responses through art, writing, collage or craft.No artistic experience is needed.
