The first forensic unit in the country, it treated those who had been found not guilty of their crimes 'for reasons of insanity'. David will speak about the history of this unit, and will then give participants a chance to look at some of the rich archive material from this time covering how the asylum worked, its place in the larger Hospital, and some of the patients who were treated there.
