Join Us for the Christmas Bird Count at Ray Harral Nature Center Saturday December 6th at 9am!
Ray Harral Nature Center is teaming up with Tulsa Audubon for the Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running community science project in the country! This family-friendly event is your chance to learn about the winter birds that call Ray Harral home, while contributing to this 123-year-old tradition that helps track bird populations across the U.S.
What to Expect:
- Birding Hikes with Ray Harral naturalists and Tulsa Audubon members, counting birds as we go.
- A chance to tally results and contribute to the annual E-bird Christmas Bird Count Project.
- Birding Basics and fun learning activities for all ages!
We’ll go out rain, snow, or sunshine—so be sure to dress for the weather! We’ll have a classroom set of binoculars for use, feel free to bring your own if you have them. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
