- **Event Description**: a 3-Hour Live Fire Class:  Intermediate Shooters are introduced and drilled on defensive handgun shooting skills.About this EventCOURSE DESCRIPTION:This 3 Hour Live fire class is for both the general public with intermediate level handgun skills and the armed security officer who would like to improve their skills, or who may be preparing for their firearms qualification of recertification.This course was adapted from the shooting proficiency requirements for an armed security officer, and is fully adaptable for home defense and CCW holders shooting skills.Concentration will be placed on the following techniques:Check, Clear and Load semi auto or revolverCheck, Clear and Unload semi auto or revolverDrawing from your holsterDouble Tap at at 20 feetFull Hip at 3 feetMultiple Targets / Threats at 20 feetLow Light shooting at 20 feetShooting from Barricade at 30 feetDistance Shooting/ Sight Alignment at 50 feetThis course was designed to repeat multiple times so you can progressively improve on your skills.This course is taught by firearms instructors who are certified in Marksmanship Coaching, Concealed Carry and Home Defense, and Defenseive Shooting.PREREQUISITES: Students taking this course will have previously attended one or all of the following:Concealed Carry Course orNRA Basic Pistol Course orOPOTA 20-Hour Firearms qualificationProficient in  loading and unloading your weapon Students must be legally eligible to handle a firearmStudents under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.*WHAT'S INCLUDED:Instruction by Nationally Certified Defenisive Handgun Firearms InstructorRange FeesIt is recommended that you use your own firearm, however, the use of a firearm can be provided at no cost (at checkout). - To ensure firearm safety and performance, we we ask that you use our ammunition with rentals - Available at classroom on day of class for purchase.
