- **Event Description**: Time for the Mediak Summer Drive 2026!  By way of popular vote, this time, we will set out on Sunday 28th June, and we will hit the Scottish Scenery once again!  Those of you who voted down south – fear not; there will be one more event this year and we WILL go down to the Lakes and Dales!  With much further ado:

9. Asda Dumbarton Superstore, ST James Retail Park, Glasgow G82 1RB FINISH - optional, people can veer off home at any point if it makes no sense to come Dumbarton before home! 

This is an overview; the detailed route can be viewed in the Google Maps link above, with roughly around 60 - 90 mins drive between each stop which should space it out nicely for breaks and views and photo ops! Any recent visitors who have extra suggestions and advice on route or stops, please feel free to send me a DM!

My main intention is to visit Mallaig and the beach/seaside views there.  For those of you unfamiliar, have a Google, and you’ll see there are almost Caribbean-levels of beaches there; golden sands, clear blue water…it’s the tropics on our doorstep!  And as always, the Glencoe run up is always a crowd-pleaser.

For your £10, we are going beyond for the content, I am going to try level it up again for you.  We’ve done roller photos; we did statics, we did double rollers…this time?  The videography is the play of the day, I want to grab more or less the entire convoy above the Glencoe pass  (along the A82) just at the Mountain Resort, either coming in or going by.  

BUT, there’s more – you’ve more or less all had a chance at roller PHOTOs now…this time, I will be mounting the Pro Roller equipment and filming the convoy – not with the Osmo, but the Sony  FX3 - so everyone will have rolling footage of their vehicles and instead of levelling alongside for a photo, I’ll be asking each of you to give me a little lane-switch and/or throttle pull!

Learning from previous events - as wild and incredible it was for 90 cars to convoy; it is a number that is far more difficult to manage than the previous cap of 70. I’d prefer it to be more manageable and smoother for us all, rather than dilute the experience for the sake of sheer numbers.
