- **Event Description**: The second annual “What's So Great About Bristow?” Art Show and Contest is May 6th through 9th, 2026 in the Main Conference room of the Bristow Public Library. The deadline for entries is May 5th, 2026 by 6 p.m. Entry forms are available at the Bristow Public Library and should be returned to the library to enter the contest. This Art Show is FREE to enter although the organizer asks that if you are able, please donate one the items listed below to benefit Macy's Cradle. Age divisions are zero to seven years old for our Little Buddies class, eight to twelve years old for Juniors, and thirteen to eighteen years old for Seniors. Cash prizes will be given to each age group from local sponsors.


This event is organized and hosted by Bristow 4-H member and Oklahoma 4-H Junior Governor, Riley Braden. Miss Braden says, “I think that there should be more art shows. In the 4-H pledge it says to pledge our hands to larger service to our community, so that's what I'm doing!” 


Please bring your entry forms attached to the back of your art and a Macy's Cradle donation to the Bristow Public Library. Judging will happen May 7th and the show will be on display each day as the library is open Wednesday through Saturday of Tabouleh Fest. An Awards Ceremony will be held in the Main Conference room of the Bristow Public Library on May 9, 2026 at 11 a.m. with refreshments provided by Community Bank.


As part of the Oklahoma 4-H Junior Governor Program, Miss Braden is adding a donation option to benefit Creek County's crisis pregnancy center, Macy's Cradle, in Sapulpa. Macy's Cradle provides free prenatal care, ultrasounds, baby showers, and education to all of their clients. Riley Braden would like to support their work by gathering items that they need like hand cream, belly butter, chapstick, foot lotion, hydration packets, and baby socks. If you are unable to donate, please do not let that stop your child from entering this Art Show and Contest, this art show is for everyone.
