Emma Williams (emmawilliamsdirector.com)
Emma has been directing theatre for over 25years. She works for a wide range of theatre makers in varying roles that include director, facilitator, dramaturge and writer. She has directed in-house productions for The Tobacco Factory Theatres, Bath Theatre Royal, The Bristol Old Vic and The Wardrobe Theatre. She has also created international touring productions with acclaimed puppet companies Pickled Image, Opposable Thumb Theatre and Green Ginger. In 2025 she devised and directed Don Quixote (is a very big book ) which is now touring internationally.

Cat Rock is an award winning puppeteer, film maker, performer, the Creative Director for the Puppet Place 48 who makes wonderfully weird puppetry for the stage, film and TV. Credits include: Coldplay, Music of the Spheres (UK) Puppeteer: FKA Twigs, Eusexua Tour, Puppeteer/Puppet Director; Wort the Wizard; Bark Bark, Buzzcut Productions; The Bear by Raymond Briggs; Macbeth, Paper Cinema; Mischief and Mystery in Moomin Valley, Lost and Found.
Lucia d'Inverno (scarletoaktheatre.com)
Lucia d'Inverno is the co-founder of Scarlet Oak Theatre, a company dedicated to creating imaginative and conversation sparking theatre for young people and their grown ups to enjoy together. Scarlet Oak uses a vibrant mix of puppetry, physical theatre, clowning, and educational to create work that supports and inspires audiences of all ages to reflect on their relationships with each other and the world around them.
The panel is being chaired by Matt Gibbs and recorded by Jonathan Eve.
Puppet Place is the home for puppetry in the South West. Established as a charity over 40 years ago to support puppetry practitioners in the region, we are now a thriving community network.
