RINA VERGANO (pictured), a Bristol-based playwright and dramaturg with a background in European theatre, making work for audiences of all ages. She has translated around 85 plays from Dutch, Flemish and Italian.
Her pub play Horses! Horses! co-produced by Wassail Theatre, Theatre Orchard and Bristol Old Vic, had two extensive tours to rural pubs across the southwest region. Her children’s play Owl at Home was produced and toured in the UK by Theatr Iolo (Cardiff), and toured in English in China last year.
Rina also runs affordable writing retreats for writers of all genres, emcees cabaret nights, and performs her own spoken word comedy material.
NICHOLAS LAW has performed at Glastonbury Festival and supported John Cooper Clarke. He is best known for ‘A True Account of the Villainous Bartholomew Rakehell, Ne’er-do-Well’ his book of bawdy, saucy verse set in Georgian England and published by Tangent Books.
He will be reading from his new collection of comic poems: ‘Ronald Dull’s Tales of the Expected’.
ANITA KARLA KELLY’S stage play, Buzzing, was part of Bristol Old Vic’s Rep season 2020, tackling sexuality, mental health and teenagers. Her monologue Flesh, was voted as one of the top eight monologues written in lockdown by The Guardian. Her radio piece Red Flags produced with Naked Productions received Highly Commended at the BBC Audio Awards 2021. Currently she is writing a graphic novel Land of the Pretty funded by the Arts Council.
Anita’s poetry and short stories have been published in Dangerous Women, Comma Press, Bath Flash Fiction and more. She has been short listed by Bristol Short Story Prize and Creative Futures amongst others.
