The Descent: A Sound Journey into Shadow & Stillness

As the wheel turns and the nights deepen, we enter The Descent — a time to journey inward, to meet the self in shadow, and to find wisdom in stillness.

The shadow is the hidden part of ourselves, the emotions, memories, and aspects we’ve learned to push away or keep unseen. Yet within it lies deep wisdom, creativity, and the key to true wholeness. By meeting our shadow with compassion, we reclaim the lost pieces of ourselves and make space for profound healing.

Join us at Willsbridge Mill for a deeply reflective Sound Bath Ceremony, blending ritual, resonance, and guided intention. Together, we’ll explore the space between endings and beginnings, embracing what the darkness has to teach us before the light’s return.

What to Expect

• Smoke Cleansing — On arrival, you’ll be invited to cleanse your energy with sacred smoke from abalone shells, releasing the weight of the day.
• Anointing Oil Ritual — Set your intention by anointing yourself with a grounding oil, connecting with your shadow not as something to fear, but as something to understand and integrate.
• Sound Bath Journey — Immerse yourself in the deep tones of gong and crystal bowls as you descend gently into reflection and healing.
• Guided meditation- go on a journey to meet your hidden aspects and reveal your inner strength and embrace radical self acceptance.
• Journaling Reflection — Each guest will receive a guided journaling sheet to capture insights and emotions, helping to anchor the healing process.
• Reflection Trees — one tree will hold your written releases — fears, patterns, or burdens you’re ready to let go of. The other tree stands for manifestation — the light and qualities you wish to call in.
• Grounding Herbal Tea Ceremony — We’ll close the evening with a soothing herbal tea, carefully chosen to support grounding and integration after your journey.

This session is facilitated by Marie, a certified and accredited Sound Therapist and Holistic Facilitator, and Sarah, a qualified Hypnotherapist and Mental Health Practitioner.

Both are trauma-informed, creating a safe, supportive environment for deep emotional release and reflection.

Yoga mats, blankets and tea are provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own or extras for comfort.

Crystals and spiritual gifts will also be available to purchase (card payments accepted).

This is more than a sound bath, it’s a sacred descent into stillness, shadow, and truth. You’ll leave feeling lighter, grounded, and more connected to your inner self.
