Join some of the most inspiring voices in the worlds of exhibition, distribution and restoration on Wed 22 July at Watershed, Bristol on the opening day of Cinema Rediscovered 10th edition festival for a chance to reflect on the rise of rep in the last decade and what that might mean for the future of cinema.

We’ll explore how restorations come about with some of the leading studios and distributors; get tips on inviting outside curatorial voices into your programme; and creating a buzz so audiences engage with lesser-known titles in cinemas, festivals and pop-up spaces; plus get a sneak preview of upcoming re-releases from some of the UK’s leading rep distributors.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to connect with distributors, your peers and other industry practitioners through 1:1 meetings, a FREE networking lunch c/o Principal Festival Sponsors Park Circus & StudioCanal and a fun Craft & Chat corner.
 
Attendees will receive an invitation to our Opening Night Drinks (18:00 - 19:00), sponsored by 6 O'clock Gin, access to free early-morning exhibitor previews of upcoming new 4K restorations on Thu 23 & Fri 24 July, as well as exclusive discounts on a festival pass and accommodation - link in bio for full details. 
 
Who can attend? 
 
This event is primarily aimed at BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) Members and associated freelancers. If you are a UK-based film exhibitor and are not yet a member, find out how to join BFI FAN for free by contacting your regional hub. Archive practitioners, distributors, sales agents, and international exhibitors are also welcome to apply, and we will do our best to accommodate. 
 
This is a Film Hub South West-led initiative, co-presented with the Independent Cinema Office and BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) partners, funded through the National Lottery.
