- **Event Name**: Oxen Weekend
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 18 Apr, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sat, 18 Apr, 2026 at 04:00 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: Come to Coggeshall Farm Museum and experience what life was like on an 18th-century farm, complete with a pair of visiting oxen! Jim and Bev Gould will be spending the weekend at the farm with their heritage breed Red Lineback oxen, Red and Bill. Together, they will demonstrate some of the tasks that oxen and their teamsters would have tended to on the farm in the 1790s, and plow our field to get it prepped to plant corn and squash later in the spring. Watch the pair hard at work and have all of your oxen questions answered!

Guests can also meet our sheep, pigs, and chickens, play simple games, explore our nature trail, and more.
