Meet the Department for International Trade Tech Sector teams 12th February


Meet the technology team from the Department for International Trade (DIT) to learn about opportunities to grow your business globally across technology sectors including AI, Data & Data Analytics, IoT, SaaS, Robotics, Mobile Apps and Semi-Conductors. The DIT team will be available for one-to-one meetings to learn about your business, highlight the work of DIT and help you understand the export potential for your product/services in international markets. Participants may choose a maximum 3 meetings/markets:

South Korea

Singapore

Philippines

Australia / New Zealand

Mark Beresford – advising on India

Mark Beresford is an international business development and technology specialist whose career has been built up in both the UK and overseas through international trade and investment, consulting, project management, commercial and innovation related work assignments with a variety of UK and international businesses, SME organisations, Universities and public sector clients. 

He joined the Department for International Trade (DIT)’s Technology & Smart Cities team in the summer of 2016 as a trade and investment specialist. His area of expertise is in working across a broad range of UK tech sub-sectors with a portfolio of committed, ambitious UK technology companies to help them grow their businesses internationally. Currently focusing on India, he has supported UK tech companies in a variety of priority export markets including India, China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and the US. His specialist interests include Smart Cities, Sensors, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile/5G and Smart Security, including Cyber.

 

Richard Lewis – advising on India, Malaysia and Australia

Richard Lewis heads up the trade team in the Technology and Smart Cities sector team and is based at DIT’s headquarters in London. The Technology and Smart Cities team is responsible for the co-ordination of the promotion of UK tech solutions to overseas countries.

Together with the promotion of the UK offer, the team oversee the work to identify opportunities for UK companies to sell/collaborate with companies from overseas.

 

Ryan Jackson – advising on Singapore, China and Japan

Ryan Jackson is an Account Manager for the Technology and Smart Cities team within the Department for International Trade (DIT).

Ryan’s main responsibilities are:


Managing 5 priority markets - China, Singapore, India, Malaysia and Japan

Mapping UK tech capability to understand the landscape and facilitate the matching of businesses with opportunities overseas.

Supporting and accelerating UK tech companies towards exporting through DIT's regional network of International Trade Advisors.



James O’Hern – advising on GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) countries, USA, The Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea

James O’Hern is an Account Manager for the Technology and Smart Cities team within the Department for International Trade (DIT).

James’s main responsibilities are:


Managing the priority markets/areas of – GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) countries, USA, The Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.

Mapping UK tech capability to understand the landscape and facilitate the matching of businesses with opportunities overseas.

Supporting and accelerating UK tech companies towards exporting through DIT's regional network of International Trade Advisors.


Who is this event for?


These meetings are for established companies with a minimum turnover of £500K

Due to this event being free of charge with limited numbers, we reserve the right to cancel your booking if you do not meet the eligibility requirements. Regrettably, we are unable to accept consultants, intermediaries or service providers.
