Your hosts Greg Cooper and Christian Annesley

Welcome to the Bristol #LinkedInLocal. The #LinkedInLocal movement is an idea that started in New Zealand in 2017 by Anna McAfee and has caught peoples' imaginations. The idea is very simply to put the social back into social media, to meet the person behind the LinkedIn profile. It's a great way to meet with existing and new connections in an informal business context. Bring your business card but leave your pitch at home.

The friendly folks at the fashionable Harbour Hotel in Corn Street are kindly sponsoring February's LinkedIn Local, which means that we can donate the full ticket price to a local charity, which this time will be Children's Hospice South West. They are currently supporting over 200 children with life-limiting conditions, this sadly means that they are not expected to live into adulthood.  The support provided is really wide-ranging from specialist end of life and palliative care to sibling support and respite for the whole family. Amanda Gallagher or Karen Mathie from the charity will be joining us if you would like to know more about their work.

Our speaker will be Jan de Jonge who is a business psychologist and he will be talking about "The Psychology of Connecting and Building Relationships".

Jan de Jonge works with well-known clients from all industries, applying psychology to develop excellence in people, capitalizing on personality, entrepreneurial potential, leadership style, ability, and emotional intelligence.

The Harbour Hotel is opposite St Nick's market in Corn Street. We will be meeting in the intimate setting of the Gold Bar and later descending to the vaults for the talk and more refreshments. The gold bar will be available for guests to linger after the event.

8.30-8.45  Registration and coffee/tea in Gold Bar

8.50-9.00 Welcome and a few words from Robyn Lush of the Harbour Hotel.

09.30-9.50 Down the stairs to the vaults for talk

10.00-10.30  Informal networking and conversations.

Afterward, the Gold Bar will be available to anyone who wishes to tarry a while.

Look forward to seeing you there.
