Key Competencies

Course description:

This is a one day course covering the emergency management of 8 key topics from the Level 1 RCPCH Curriculum and therefore is most suitable for ST2/3s. It would work for ST1s later in their first year or if they have previous paediatric experience.

Highlights/Objectives:

• Practice the management of acute paediatric situations in a safe environment using human patient simulators.

Target audience: Ideally suited to ST1, ST2 & ST3 Grades in Paediatrics. Please note places are limited to 18.

Format: 1 day course

Venue: UHBW Simulation Centre

This course is prepaid for by the Deanery for both Peninsula and Severn Paediatric trainees. A charge of £99 will be made to those trainees outside of South West.
