After flexing our experimental muscles at Jacobs Barber-Ristas, we’re returning to the birthplace of the Hip Hop Coffee Shop, Boston Tea Party Stokes Croft. This time, Bristol-based record label ‘AFT Raps’ will provide teachings in barista styled Hiphopology.
Friday the 1st of March will see Headmasters of the group, Rogue & Relly and Billy Whizz & Twizzy. Combining Rogue’s technical turntablism and Relly’s layered lyrical rhyming patterns, backed up with Twizzy & Bill Whizz’s superior Boom Bap Knowledge, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole class got A*.
Also teaching Bristolian Hip Hop academia on the night are local troublemakers Weaver, & Most Hidden. Schooling the microphone with there conscious compositions & ferocious flows, you would hand over your dinner money to them without question.
Graduation settings belong to our top student Riski, whilst last period is being taught by the head of Open Mic’s, Mr Hare. Trust me, you’re going to want to come to class on time with this lineup.

''Although the team behind The Hip Hop Coffee Shop Sessions are relatively new to the scene, they’ve quickly secured themselves as one of the best and most unique bi-monthly hip hop events in Bristol. Taking place in less traditional performance spaces and offering a varied line up of emerging and established hip hop artists, the night has already built up a great following and I can’t wait to see what else they have to offer.''
