Please join us on March 31st at 6pm at the Bristol Public Library for a “Words Matter” panel discussion followed by public participation about particular words of impact and how they’ve affected you.

Words are as powerful a tool as its beholder can wield. The Bristol Diversity Council’s “Words Matter” event features a panel discussion hosted by friend of the BDC and WTNH’s Alyssa Taglia. Alyssa will speak with Bristol English Teacher, Joanne Peluso, Bristol ECD’s, Dawn Ledger, Bristol’s Poet Laureate, Tom Legasse, and BDC’s, Tony Lopes, about the art of communication, and how the use of words under/outside of context, can drive home or destroy the intended message. 

Maybe the key to a more understanding society is a better understanding of each other.
