The ARW is the Level 2 certificate issued by the Remote Ropes Rigging Certificate Programme.
The Advanced Rigging Workshop is a technical evolution of rigging analysis and rescue systems evolved from use in wilderness environments. A focus is put on the understanding of advanced rigging physics and applied practical systems.
The course comprises of two classroom days where the foundations of advanced knot craft and critical analysis will be established, followed by 3 practical days in the Avon Gorge rigging AHD's (Artificial High Directionals) in the form of A frames / Gin Poles / SA Frames and conducting technical and non technical rescues orientated around stranded or injured climber rescue.
Lightweight litter set ups will be discussed and students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of different systems and techniques.
Advanced rigging and rescue system training for rigging practitioners including rock climbing and mountaineering, rope access, arboriculture, rigging and Rope rescue professionals.
