- **Event Description**: Queensland and Japan have built a successful, decades-long partnership in the resources sector, partnering Japan's financial, technical and industrial strengths with Queensland's wealth of mining and energy resources. Now with critical minerals emerging as a key strategic focus for government, industry and investors, and amid record Japanese investment in Australia, the QJCCI is proud to host an event that puts the spotlight on the Queensland-Japan relationship and examines how to build upon it for even greater success.

Presented in partnership with global law firm DLA Piper, this exclusive event entitled "Queensland and Japan: Building Successful and Sustainable Critical Minerals Supply Chains," will bring together leaders from industry and government in both Queensland and Japan for a panel discussion exploring the opportunities, challenges and policy settings shaping the sector.

Featuring Queensland project developers at different stages of the critical minerals journey—from emerging projects through to advanced development—the discussion will provide first-hand insights into what is required to attract capital, secure strategic partners and bring projects into production. The event will also highlight the mutual opportunities available to Queensland and Japanese businesses as they work together to build resilient, long-term critical minerals supply chains.

Headlining the event is the Hon. Dale Last MP, Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing and Minister for Regional and Rural Development, together with leading Queensland industry participants, Mr Gerhard Redelinghuys, Managing Director, M Critical Minerals and Mr David Fraser, Founder and Managing Director or Mr Campbell Jones, CEO (subject to availability), RZ Resources Limited. Mr SHINKAWA Tatsuya, General Manager, Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) will provide a Japanese viewpoint on the sector and its engagement with Australian miners.

VIP guests include Mr ISHIKAWA Katsutoshi, Consul General of Japan in Brisbane and Ms Michelle Matthews, Global Investment Commissioner, Trade and Investment Queensland, together with representatives of Japanese trading houses and other dignitaries from the Queensland-Japan business and government community.

This event will be held in the Queens Ballroom on Level 5 at InterContinental Brisbane (190 Elizabeth St, Brisbane), from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on September 1 (presentations commencing at 6pm). The event will also provide the opportunity for ample networking time whilst enjoying a selection of delicious canapes and drinks.
