Organisations around the country – large and small – have joined forces to call on the Queensland Museum to end its fossil fuel sponsorship deal with Shell. 
The move follows revelations that Shell has contributed more than $10 million in funding to the Queensland Museum since 2015, with the funding influencing educational materials sent into Queensland classrooms. 
Outrage over the secretive deal has prompted organisations and people to sign an Open Letter to the Queensland Museum which will be formally presented to the Museum on Wednesday July 1 from 11.30am. 
The Queensland Conservation Council has also been collecting signatures on a petition calling on the Board and Executive of the Queensland Museum to end its fossil fuel sponsorship and replace misleading educational materials with resources grounded in science. 
So come along next Wednesday, July 1 11.30am – 12:30pm and meet on the steps of the Queensland Museum, as a united call for action for the Museum to dump its deal with Shell. If you are affliated with a group please come branded with their logo.
