On the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Catholic Church honours the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, “For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink” (John 6:55). Processing with the Blessed Sacrament through the streets is a tradition that is embraced all over the world and continues today.
In the Archdiocese of Brisbane, we will bear witness to our faith on 22nd June 2025, as we gather with over 5000 Catholics to walk with Jesus through the streets of Brisbane City, as we pray, sing, praise and honour Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
The Corpus Christi Procession, presided by Archbishop Mark Coleridge will start at 2pm from the Cathedral of St Stephen, walk through the city streets and finish with Benediction at the Cathedral.
In addition to the procession, an exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles around the world will be on display in the Hanly Room, Francis Rush Centre, from Saturday 21st – Sunday 22nd June. There will also be a vigil of Adoration in St Stephen’s Chapel overnight from 7pm Saturday 21st – 8am Sunday 22nd June.
Come along with your family, community and parish groups.
