This workshop aims to provide an introduction to key network terms and an overview of common AV network protocols. This workshop also teaches and demonstrates the configuration of Luminex networking and lighting products, with a focus on hands-on time and equipment configuration. This class is best suited for show techs, sales reps, basic system designers, or anyone who will use the Luminex product line and needs a basic understanding of configuration and use.

Target Audience:

System Technicians, lighting technicians, Audio technicians. Basic network knowledge preferable.

In this course, the student will learn:

• Key network terms
• IP addressing
• IGMP/ Multicast
• In-depth look at the Luminex Product offerings
• Luminex Product Configuration and Use
• Best practices

Learning Objectives:

• At the end of this program, the learner will understand the key network terms, and basic network design.
• At the end of this program, the learner will be able identify, and understand the different product offerings of Luminex.
• At the end of this program, the learner will be able to perform the basic configuration of Luminex networking and lighting products.
