It's time to get ready for the 32nd Annual Christmas Pub Crawl!
This year it will be on Saturday 20th December! Storey Bridge was a great starting point last year, so we'll be kicking it off from there again.
For those that haven't made the pilgrimage, this is the deal -
We travel from pub to pub in the Brisbane CBD, dressed in our favourite Christmas clothes and we sing a Christmas carol (or song) before leaving each pub. It's a great day and a good way to meet people you only get to see once a year...
As usual, the fun is mandatory, so we've got have a couple of easy to follow rules:
1 - Singing Christmas carols is compulsory - we already have a grinch - we don't need two!
2 - Come dressed festively or you miss out on a sweet wrist band (first in, best dressed - you can't hold spares for your friends who are late!)
As always, I want volunteers to sing... to feel free to throw a friend under the bus for that honour....
This event is open invite, so bring along friends and family as you wish.
Pub Plan will be released closer to the date, and will remain largely unchanged.
The two things I am putting to the floor are that
1) We cut Frogs Hollow from the list - it's a nice joint, but it has zero atmosphere for a pub crawl.
2) We possibly add Port Office between Storey Bridge and Riverland.
This adds a stop along the way for those that walked, and adds another pub to beef up the list. As many of you know, the pubs can get a little unreliable once the sun goes down (I am looking at you Embassy.... lol)
Anyway, please RSVP the event if you're coming so I have an idea how many might be coming, and don't forget to show some interest if you'd like to buy a Stubby Cooler! (whether this will actually happen it TBD!)
