About the Event: Tim “Slowhand” Gaze has enjoyed a long career as one of Australia’s pre-eminent guitarist / vocalists. Playing professionally from the age of 15, Tim Gaze has had a diversified career both here and overseas, recording, producing, teaching and working with a multitude of artists and projects such as Tamam Shud, Jimmy Barnes, Jon Lord (of Deep Purple), Bob Daisley (Ozzie Osbourne, Rainbow, etc), Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Gyan, Stevie Wright, Rob Grosser, Renee Geyer and many more.

Tim has been playing the music of Slowhand for many years and has faithfully captured Eric’s style.

Mick “Sultan” Melit has worked professionally as a guitarist/vocalist for over 30 years and has shared the stage as a backing musician for some of Australia’s most revered artists including Russell Morris, Joe Camilleri, Jon Stevens, Marty Rhone, Frankie J Holden, Kevin Borich, Renee Geyer, Digger Revell, as well as touring extensively as lead vocalist and second guitarist with the late, great Phil Emmanuel.

Mick Melit is well known around South-East Queensland for his solo shows and work with many bands and he has Mark Knopfler’s characteristic sound and finger style well in hand.

Tim and Mick are supported by Tom De Voss on Drums and Ian Lock on Bass. Tom and Ian are performing regularly around South-East Queensland in a variety of bands and shows and form a tight, driving rhythm section which propels the music onwards and forms a solid platform for the guitar heroics of the lead men.
