Spring Equinox Ritual
We had so much fun with our first public ritual that we are going to hold another for the Spring Equinox!
The Equinox is the point where we hover in perfect balance between light and dark, summer and winter. The reborn sun is beginning to warm the Earth and the land responds with the first hints of new life. This is the time of renewal after the long cold barrenness of Winter. Continuing our connection from Samhain, this is the point when Persephone returns from the Underworld for her allotted time with Her mother, Demeter.
We invite you to join us in sacred space to welcome Persephone back to the land and awaken the Earth to new life.
Our altar will be consecrated to the returning Persephone-Kore.
Ritual wear - whatever this means to you! This will be an outdoor event so please be weather conscious and we recommend sensible footwear to avoid tripping. Other than that, be as creative as you like! Robes, body paint, sacred jewellery, headdresses, masks... go for it!
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring flowers to honour Persephone-Kore. These will be used during the ritual.
Altar offerings are welcome and encouraged! We will provide time prior to the ritual for everyone to access the altars if they’d like to.
We plan on holding this event in the amphitheater in these parklands. There is a pathway that leads up from the car park area. Please note there is limited public transport to this location so we encourage car pooling.
Gold coin donation
