A Weekend with YogaBeyond: February 2020
Dynamic duo Claudine and Honza of YogaBeyond are coming to Brisbane 21-23 February 2020!
Join us for a weekend of acro yoga, handstands, yin yoga and meditation practices for rest with with these two incredible teachers. We're expecting this to be a hugely popular event, so don't delay in securing your spot to come and play!
Friday // 7-9pm
RELAX & RENEW
Enjoy a blissful yin yoga sequence to help you tap into both the physical and energetic body as you find freedom through your hips and openness through your heart. Claudine will provide you with a nurturing, supportive space to explore the power of love, vulnerability and letting go. This two hour class will include long juicy holds in a supported sequence to give your body time to open up organically, both physically and emotionally. Time to let go of built up tension surrounding the hips, spine and chest. You will leave this workshop feeling grounded, open and light. Gift yourself some much needed 'me time' to slow down and nourish your body and mind.
Saturday Morning // 10am - 12:30pm
Journey to Handstand
Uncover your upside down potential, both with and without a partner. Learn our four magical steps and insider tips for skillful technique, spotting and coaching. Handstand is an art form of focus, discipline and play. This class will focus on getting your heart above your head with inversions and handstands. We’ll begin with a vinyasa warm up activating the main muscle groups and mobilizing the most important joints for an inversion practice. Whether you’re looking to kickstart or advance your hand balancing practice, you are guaranteed to have tons of fun and break through fears in the process. Wherever you are in your practice, there is always room to expand!
Saturday Afternoon // 2 - 4:30pm
ACROVINYASA™ for First Timers
If you are brand spankin' new to the world of flying, this is the class for you! We'll move through solo asana then into the partner and group dynamic. Prepare to develop a strong foundation as a base and an understanding of your body on the earth as a flyer. Once these fundamental pieces are in place, we'll introduce a supportive spotter to give you confidence in spreading your acro wings. Get ready to take your practice from Earth to Air!
Sunday Morning // 10am - 12:30pm
This is an open level class geared to flip your perspective and dabble deeper in the world of acroyoga. Treat yourself to an uplifting yoga experience as you step outside of your comfort zone and reconnect with your inner child in this playful practice. Expect a creative vinyasa class followed by partner inversion training and acro flying transitions, like handstands and walkovers. No partner needed, just an open mind and readiness to try something new!
Sunday afternoon // 2-4pm
Meditation in Motion
We thrive with rest. Join Honza for a practice that offers multiple methods to destress and slow down. Surrender into comfortable, supported poses while you enjoy easy breath awareness and simple meditation techniques infused with soothing sonic interludes. This widely accessible practice resets the nervous system to restore health, vitality and ease within all levels of your being. Relieve the aches in your muscular body with this deep medicine. Expand your natural capacity to heal, sleep, digest, conceive, build immunity and show up in your life with a clear mind and open heart. Drop in and listen to your body’s wisdom. This practice is accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level, age, ability or experience with yoga. All you need is the willingness to be still and present with yourself.
