The walk is an opportunity to learn about seasonal wild plants growing all around us that we can use as medicine and food to benefit our health. You will learn all about the traditional and current uses of wild medicinal plants, explore their fascinating history, as well as how to safely identify, sustainably forage and prepare wild herbs for making herbal remedies at home. Various herbal remedies will be sampled on the walk. Around 15 different plants are discussed on each walk, with informative e-handouts available for those attending.Prior booking is essential as places are limited. All ages are welcome. The walk is at a gentle pace and plenty of stops along the way while we discuss plants. She is passionate about inspiring people to connect with the plant world for their well-being and runs Wild Medicine Walks and workshops around Gloucestershire throughout the year. She practices herbal medicine in Cheltenham, Nailsworth and Stroud clinics and is a member of the professional body ‘The National Institute of Medical Herbalists’ and 'The Association of Foragers'. She has a background in horticulture and was introduced to herbal medicine through her work on medicinal herb nurseries and organic herb farms.
