Join TerraCorps Service Member Emma Comeau for a fun Hike at the Clayton and Margaret Thomas Nature Preserve in Brimfield MA. Hike through the historic and scenic property to explore the history of the landscape. Walk along the Fosket Mill stream and venture to a towering glacial erratic left over by the last ice age. Along the way we will share the origins of national hiking day and learn about other great hiking opportunities with Opacum.

The hike will be about 1.5 miles long, with moderate terrain and some sections being uneven and uphill. Please come prepared with any tick repellent, sturdy shoes and lots of water. Remember to wear orange as it is hunting season!

Additional Directions: A gravel parking area is located on Monson Road, off of route 20. Look for the Opacum Event signage.
