The Digital Accelerator:  a free digital skills diploma, worth £2600 delivered by Creative Process

Places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis subject to eligibility - We can prioritise your place on the course if you are in receipt of any state benefits or are on a low wage

The Digital Accelerator will equip you with an essential tool kit of digital and creative skills that employers demand, helping you to create an impressive portfolio of work that will make you the stand-out applicant for any hiring manager or help you to develop your freelance skills.

Creative Process works with hundreds of great companies across Brighton and Sussex and the course will help you to secure an exciting new job or apprenticeship. 67% of those who complete the Digital Accelerator move into employment within the following 6 months. After successful completion of the accelerator we’ll invite you to come along to one of our digital apprenticeship recruitment sessions to find out more about our vacancies and to go forward to interviews with the employers with which we work.

The Digital Accelerator at a glance:

A 3 week full-time course, 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday from September 30th - October 18th. (If this month is already fully booked check out our other course dates)

Completed in person at our Mac Training Centre in central Brighton

Awards a nationally recognised Digital Skills Diploma valued at £2,600 but free to the participant

You will be required to attend a three-hour induction session on Wedneday 25th September from 10am - 1pm. The induction is essential to set you up with your online portfolio and register you for the diploma. If you cannot attend on this date then you will need to apply for another course with an induction that you can attend.  

The Digital Accelerator course content:

Practise using design software used by professionals: WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud; Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

Develop commercial skills including pitch, presentation and collaboration 

Build your own website, create an online portfolio and a beautifully designed stand out C.V

Find out about local employment opportunities, job growth areas and skills that are in demand from employers 

Eligibility and how we like to work:

The Digital Accelerator is an intensive, 3 week full time programme. Participant feedback is excellent but it is designed to challenge and stretch. To be accepted onto the programme you should:

Be aged 19 or above as of 31st August 2019

Be able to commit to a full-time, 3 week course

Have been resident in the EU for the last 3 years (to qualify for the funding)

We can prioritise your place on the course if you are in receipt of any state benefits or are on a low wage

If you in receipt of any state benefits (incl. housing benefits, working tax credit) you will be required to provide evidence of the benefits that you claim 

If you are working and earn less than £15,750 per year you will be required to provide a pay slip or tax return as evidence of this

Be motivated and ready to secure a job and/or develop new digital and commercial skills

Have a basic to good level of IT and digital literacy and be mac or PC proficient

Be able to work in a team, on a collaborative basis, under pressure and to deadlines

Have good people skills and be mindful and respectful of how others learn (as well as an awareness that this may be different to how you learn)

Be respectful of people from different backgrounds, race, religion or gender orientation

Be prepared to take part in a way which contributes to the positive experience and enjoyment of the rest of the group
