- **Event Description**: Taste Ridge Vineyards with Californian specialist Andrew Meltzer, exploring five wines from one of California’s most iconic estates.About this EventJoin us at Brunswick Fine Wines for an evening dedicated to Ridge Vineyards, one of California’s most respected and distinctive producers.Ridge needs little introduction. In 1976, its 1971 Monte Bello Cabernet Sauvignon was selected to represent California at the now legendary Judgement of Paris tasting in Paris, where a panel of French judges blind-tasted California and Bordeaux wines. Ridge finished fifth on the day — but the story didn’t end there. When the wines were revisited 30 years later in 2006, Ridge Monte Bello took first place, ahead of the great Bordeaux estates. It was a result that cemented Ridge’s reputation for producing California wines with not only character and precision, but extraordinary longevity. For this tasting, we’ll explore a selection of Ridge wines spanning Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Zinfandel-led field blends and Cabernet Sauvignon, including some beautifully mature bottles. The evening will be hosted by Andrew Meltzer of Berkmann Wine Cellars, Californian wine specialist and the host of our previous US tasting. The WinesRidge Grenache Blanc 2025£47.95Ridge Estate Chardonnay 2023£95.00Ridge Geyserville 2022£59.95Ridge Lytton Springs 2016£89.95Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2022£99.95A chance to taste through some of Ridge’s most distinctive wines and discover why the estate has become such an important part of the California wine story.Tickets & Wine Offer£75 per person, including all five wines. If you decide to order wines from the tasting, £25 of your ticket price will be refunded against your purchase, and you’ll also receive 10% off the wines tasted on the evening.Places are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.Wednesday 11 November7pm–9.30pmBrunswick Fine Wines, Brighton£75 per person
