About the event

Bio-Active Terrarium Workshop
Discover the magic of bioactive terrariums in this hands-on workshop! A bioactive setup is a miniature, self-sustaining ecosystem where plants, soil, and a "Clean-Up Crew" (CUC) work together to create a thriving, low-maintenance environment.

We will focus on the essential role of isopods (roly-polies/pill bugs) and springtails, learning how these fascinating invertebrates act as nature's recyclers to keep your terrarium healthy, clean, and mold-free.

In this workshop, you will:

Learn: The science behind soil layering, drainage, and substrate mixing.

Create: Your own personalized, fully-planted, sealed terrarium.

Introduce: Your very own CUC of isopods and springtails to kickstart the bioactive process.

Walk away with a beautiful, living piece of nature and all the knowledge needed to maintain it!

$90
