48th Annual Waterfowl Weekend

Join us for the 48th Annual Waterfowl Weekend. A chance to witness a world class spectacle of waterfowl migration. Up to 25 different species of ducks, geese and swans stop at Presqu’ile to feed and rest on their northbound migration.

This event gives you a great opportunity to see and appreciate a wide range of waterfowl species. Those new to birding, as well as experienced birders eager to expand their knowledge, can learn more from naturalist-led viewings. Volunteer naturalists will be set up with telescopes to help visitors get a closer look at the birds.

The Nature Centre will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with displays and volunteers on hand. There will be duck-themed displays, children's crafts and a scavenger hunt to earn your Waterfowl Weekend pin.

Support the Friends of Presqu’ile by visiting the Lighthouse Gift Shop located inside the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre. Or grab lunch at the fundraising barbecue outside the Lighthouse Centre from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
